Best proxies for ad verification

Checking what an ad actually looks like in a given market needs real consumer IPs and targeting below country level. Matching weights recorded city, ASN and carrier targeting.

Ranked from 80 assessed provider profiles. Commission never affects the order — the score is match quality, evidence completeness and price.

What to weigh up

Editorial

Works in your favour

  • Residential and mobile IPs see the creatives real users see
  • City, ASN and carrier targeting reaches the segments advertisers actually buy
  • Catches geo-fraud and misplacement that a datacentre IP is simply never served

Catches people out

  • The IP types that work here are the most expensive per GB
  • Sub-country targeting is not offered by every provider, and availability varies by country
  • Ad delivery is probabilistic — one check proves very little on its own

Setting it up

Editorial

Define the segments you are verifying before choosing a provider: country alone is rarely enough, and the cost difference between country and city targeting is significant.

Check each placement from several IPs in the same segment rather than once. Ad servers rotate creatives, so a single request tells you what one impression looked like, not what the campaign is doing.

Render pages fully. Much of what you are verifying is loaded by script after the initial response, so a plain fetch will miss precisely the thing you are looking for — and will bill you less while telling you nothing.

Questions people ask

Editorial
Why not use a VPN for this?
A VPN gives you a handful of shared exit IPs that ad platforms recognise and often treat differently. Verification needs many distinct consumer IPs in specific segments, which is what a residential or mobile proxy pool provides.
Do I need mobile IPs specifically?
If you are verifying mobile campaigns, yes — carrier IPs are what mobile inventory is served to. For desktop placements, residential IPs are usually sufficient and cheaper.

How this page is put together

Method

Providers are matched by their own recorded product types and specifications, then ordered by how well they match, how much of their profile is backed by evidence, and price. Affiliate payout is not an input to that score, and no provider can pay to appear.

A provider whose outbound link has been withheld — a dead domain, or one that has been seized — is excluded entirely, because recommending it would send you somewhere we would not link to.
